The KEP MC2A3A MINItrol Counter Totalizer is a compact, panel-mounted pulse input display designed to provide accurate totalizing (counting) of pulse signals in industrial applications. The MC2A3A is commonly used in flow, batching, and process systems where pulse signals must be counted, scaled, and optionally converted to an analog output.

With a bright 6-digit LED display, the unit provides clear totalized readings in engineering units. The MC2A3A is part of the MINItrol series and is designed for applications where totalizing only is required, without rate display.

MC2A3A Features

The MC2A3A provides a 6-digit LED display (0.55″ high) and accepts pulse inputs up to 10 kHz, making it suitable for a wide range of sensors and flow meters. The unit uses a programmable K-factor to convert pulses into meaningful engineering units for totalizing applications.

MC2A3A Pulse Input and Totalizing

The MC2A3A is designed to take pulse inputs from flow meters, encoders, or sensors and convert them into a scaled total using the built-in K-factor scaling system. This allows the display to show totalized flow, counts, or accumulated values in engineering units.

The totalizer advances on the positive edge of each pulse and can operate in count up or count down modes, with support for quadrature inputs when required.

When equipped with the analog output option, the unit can provide a 4-20mA signal based on the total or programmed function, allowing integration into PLC or SCADA systems.
