The Dresser D630 ROOTS Gas Meter is a compact, utility-grade rotary gas meter designed as a drop-in replacement for comparable 600-class diaphragm gas meters. Built with proven Dresser ROOTS positive displacement technology, the D630 provides accurate gas measurement, low pressure drop, and long-term performance in a lightweight, oil-free design.

Ideal for low-volume commercial and light industrial gas applications, the D630 is commonly used where a traditional diaphragm-style meter is installed but improved accuracy, lower pressure drop, or compact rotary meter performance is desired. With 8-1/4″ connection centers, the D630 can replace many standard diaphragm meter sets without major piping changes.

Diaphragm Replacement Rotary Gas Meter

The D630 combines the familiar installation style of a diaphragm meter with the performance advantages of a Dresser ROOTS rotary meter. Instead of a diaphragm measuring chamber, the D630 uses a positive displacement rotary cartridge with two contra-rotating impellers to measure actual gas volume.

This design provides accurate measurement over a wide flow range while maintaining a very low start rate and low differential pressure.
