Step 1: Preparation
Before installation, configure the correct meter size and upload the settings to the IMCW2 Micro Corrector using the User Terminal Software (MCUT) and IMC-to-PC Programming Cable.
Installing the Software:

The MCUT software is compatible with Windows-based systems only.

If your computer lacks a serial port, use a USB-to-Serial 9-pin adapter (ensure compatibility with the latest Windows drivers).
Selecting the Meter Size:

Use MCUT software to configure the correct meter size. By default, the factory sets these up for a 3M meter.

The software also allows for data logging, alarm setup, pulse output adjustments, and unit conversions.
Step 2: Installing the IMCW2 Corrector Head
1. Shut Off the Gas Line
Ensure safety by turning off the gas supply before installation.
2. Remove the Existing Counter Head

Use a 5/32” hex key to unscrew the four hex screws securing the aluminum counter ring.

Remove the three 3mm screws on the instrument cup flange with the included hex key.
-
If needed, use a flat-head screwdriver to carefully separate the flange.
Check the O-Ring Placement: Ensure the black O-ring is installed in the outer groove of the mounting flange.
3. Remove the Pressure Seal Plug

Using a 1/4” hex wrench, remove the orange Pressure Seal Plug (P/N: 012261-005) where the pressure transducer will be installed.
Step 3: Installing the Sensors
1. Lubricate and Install the O-Ring

Apply a light coat of multi-purpose lithium grease to the O-ring before installation.

Important: As of 2025, the O-ring color has changed from orange to black.
2. Insert the Three Sensors
-
Pressure Sensor: Use a 5/8” wrench head to secure the pressure sensor into its designated bore.
-
Ensure it has a black O-ring and is tightened properly to prevent leaks.

Thermocouple: Insert it into the thermowell at the marked depth.
-
Magnetic Pickup (061749-000): Insert it into the magnet well.
Step 4: Finalizing the Installation

Position the IMCW2 Micro Corrector Head onto the cup flange.

Secure it using the three 3mm head screws and torque them to 15-20 in-lbs.
-
Adjust the display if needed by loosening the M4 x 20 cup fixing adjustment screws, rotating the unit, and re-tightening. Careful not to twist the wires.
